Jermaine posted this teaser photo of the upcoming “Sideline Story” video via Instagram yesterday. The Axel Laramée-directed video is set to drop on Wednesday, April 11th. By the looks of this photo, I guarantee you these visuals are going to be nothing short of a gem.
Here’s Diggy as he checked into 99.1 KGGI to speak on his recently leaked J. Cole diss record stating that it was made over a year ago and he simply did it to stand up for his sister after what Jermaine had rapped on his 2010 track “Purple Rain.” I geek to this.
First and foremost. GEEK TO THIS. I wouldn’t be doing my job (whatever you want to call it) if I didn’t drop a post on this bologna. Little Digster decided to respond to J.Cole’s jabs from Jermaine’s recent “Grew Up Fast” release:
Move along cocksucker ain’t nothin to see Unless you talkin blockbusters, you niggas is not Russell You more Diggy – me I’m more Biggie No diss to the young boy im just rappin get bored quickly Just to make up for that line invite him on tour with me Show him the game let him finagle these whores with me
Well, even though J. Cole took minor jabs he still praised young Digster as well. I guess Diggy wasn’t having it and he decided to come hard in the paint with his response entitled “What You Say To Me.” Pretty hilarious if you ask me.
Here’s some footage of K-dot live at The SXSW Fader Fort as he performs one of my personal favorite tracks of 2011, “HiiPower.” PEEP IT. (Might be just me, but I still feel J. Cole deserves a bit more credit for the production of this beat.)
J. Cole made waves with his debut LP Cole World: The Sideline Story last year and one month after his grammy appearance he’s coming back full force with the official visual treatment for “Nobody’s Perfect” ft. Missy Elliot. The track is a 100% Cole mellow affair, with Missy’s vocals, a bit of a departure from the sassy rhymes we often hear from her. Nonetheless the two made it work and the video is just as dope. Don’t forget to peep a day in the life of J. Cole below as the Roc Nation representer continues to headline the hip hop world!
Mike Posner sits down with Bootleg Kev and discusses some interesting topics like his upcoming album Sky High which will feature some big names like Big Sean, J. Cole and Pharrell. I can’t even explain how hype I am for this to drop. Mike’s also got Justin Bieber’s upcoming single “Boyfriend” ready to drop in which he wrote and produced with the Biebs himself. The Layover out now. Sky High coming soon.
“I have Bieber’s new single, I wrote and produced that with him. And wait ’til you hear the beat, you’ll flip. You’ll want to play this song it’s super Hip Hop,” Posner explained in a video posted on MissInfo.Tv. “He raps like a little eight bars, and then starts singing crazy right after it, and it sounds amazing. That was our whole goal was making something that was hater proof.”
“I went to New York and we worked on a beat together and did the joint together,” said Posner in regards to working with J. Cole. “Wrote it together. It was incredible. It was a track he had started so he had done most of the beat [for sure] and I kinda just added stuff to it. It was amazing working with him. Working with him and Sean, back to back, it was like the level of talent was just so incredible. Both those guys are so different in a lot of ways, but their genius level is like really up there.”
